You will need -
Card
pen
ruler
old T-shirts (off cuts/ backs left over from T-shirt through are good)
Scissors
Cotton and a needle.
Dressmakers pins.
*= Hint or tip

1, to start I measured the vest, from seam to seam it was 22.5 cm x by 2 means the full circumference of the top is 45 cm.
2, to make 6 panels to add to the vest to make a dress it will need to be 6 panels.
( 45\ 6 = 7.5 cm.)
3, I tried on the west and from the bottom to my knee is 10 cm.
4, using a pen on a piece of card I drew out 7.5 cm with a 10 cm drop then add 2.5 cm to make the bottom slightly wider. after drawing out i cut it out with scissors.
5, you can then use this as a template to cut out the fabric. I chose a variety of colour's to make it look pretty. (* if you use the original hem of the t-shirt then it saves you time and extra sowing)
6, you can then pin them together and sow as pictured. once all 6 are attached in a strip then pin to the bottom of the vest inside out. (*check it correct before sowing or like me you'll have to unpick it and resow it. )
Ta-da you have a funky new dress ! I will later post photo's of me wearing it. XOXO
